Veteran
Tennis
Several members have represented Cheshire
in their relevant age groups,
including Barbara Bloor, Sue Owen, Linda Simpson, Joe Palmer, Mark
Reading and John Simpson.. The Club has several members successful
at
the 2008 county championships. Sue Davies with Kathy Clifford won
the
ladies O40's doubles. Linda and John Simpson won the Mixed O40/O45
doubles (4th year in a row) beating Mark Reading and Jane McKenzie.
Barbara Bloor and Sue Winters won the ladies O50 doubles beating
Linda
Simpson and Sue Owen. Mark Reading with John Hilton won the Mens
O45
doubles, runners-up were John Simpson and Jeff Fairbotham. Barbara
Bloor
was runner up in the Ladies 050 singles. Barbara Bloor and Peter
Clover
were runners up in the Mixed O50/O55 doubles.
