VETERAN TENNIS SUCCESS

Congratulation to the Mens O45 team who won the Veteran Cheshire Shield on Sunday 17th July. The club beat Stockton Heath in the final. The team was Gordon Atwell, Derek Parody, John Simpson and John Turner. Thanks also to Freddie Swe who played in two of the earlier rounds.

Congratulations also to the O40 Ladies team who were runners-up in the Cheshire Shield. They narrowly lost to Nantwich in the final. At the end of the match the scores were level and they were unlucky to lose in a close final set decider. The team was Barbara Bloor, Debbie Bevan, Sue Owen and Linda Simpson. Thanks also to Moira Morgan and Catriona Irving who play in some of the earlier rounds.
